
Mental Health First Aid training is similar to CPR, giving you the tools to respond to emergencies. This course will teach you how to recognize a mental health crisis and respond.
Mental Health First Aid training empowers you with greater mental health literacy and empathy when you see others in need of help. It does not teach you to diagnose or treat mental health issues, but rather to address a crisis and connect people to resources.

The training prepares everyday people to respond and help those around you, whether they are strangers, friends or family. This course focuses on adult populations.
Registration is free to anyone ages 18 and up. The course will be held at the Palo Alto Downtown Library on Saturday, June 14 from 10:30am-2:30pm.
To receive certification, participants must attend both Part 1 and Part 2 sessions. Part 1 is on June 14; Part 2 is on June 21. Each part is four hours with a break for participants to get lunch on their own.
